Syedna Ali was also greatly respected by sultans. During his period, fierce battles erupted among Sultan Muzaffer of Sana'a, Ashraaf of Ale Yahya, and Zaidi Imams. Many cities and towns were suffered with looting and destruction. Syedna Ali did moved from Sana'a to the fort of Aroos on the request of Amir Mohammed ibne Hatim. At Aroos Banu Hatim received him respectfully. Aroos had become filthy due to the astray dogs and dirt found there. Syedna ordered to eliminate all dogs and the fortress from the filth. He remained there busy with the guidance of Moomineen and organized the affairs of Dawat.
Amir Mohammed ibne Hatim remained in Sana'a as Sultan Muzaffer had asked him to be there. The Sultan's deputy Hasan ibne Ibrahim administered the affairs under the advise of Amir Mohammed. The Amir strived to stop fighting and due his effort, peace was restored in 672 AH. During the period of Syedna Ali, sultanates of different clans or dynaties established their rule in different parts of Muslim world. Memeluks who had established their rule removing Ayubis were the suzerains of Egypt. Iraq, Persia, and some other areas were in the hands of the descendants of Genghis khan. With the passage of time, a large number of Mongols entered into the fold of Islam increasing the political and military strength of Muslim world. Balbun was the sultan of Delhi and most of the western and northern India came under Muslim rule. Europe was divided among oftenly quarrelling different kings and Knights. Not only this, tension has been started between popes, the spiritual lords and some kings, the temporal lords. Commercial boom occurred in Italian cities during this period.
